Following a successful career in Financial Services Ray qualified as a Mediator with International Mediation Institute (IMI). He then completed a Diploma in Christian Counselling followed by a BA (hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is working in private practice as well as in the Students Counselling service in NUIG. He also spent 2 years with Pieta House and has worked with clients who present with a broad range of mental health issues. His approach is primarily Person-centred but also Integrative where he employs various modalities like psychodynamic, choice and behavioural therapy and CBT to ensure that clients are supported and empowered to move forward with their lives.
Ray is married to Denise and they have 4 adult children. He enjoys exercise, walking, cycling and a variety of sporting activities including soccer, tennis and golf.
