Hope Trust Candle Lit Walks

Every year on October 31st, Hope Trust gathers with the community for a moving evening to remember those lost to suicide and traumatic death. While this season often focuses on darkness, we choose to celebrate life, offering a sacred space of support and prayer for those navigating the pain of loss.

Our candlelit walk across the Athlone bridge signifies light entering the darkness, bringing a message of hope to those in despair. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated team of volunteers and the community members whose presence makes this healing event possible. It serves as a vital reminder that no one has to walk through grief alone and that God deeply cares for those in distress.

Blessings from Team Hope Trust ❤️

We ended with worship and a memorial service at the Town Centre square, which included worship, prayer, a life testimony from someone to the goodness of God.

2024

2024 - For our Cande lit Walk 2024, we had balloons with messages of hope as we walked over the bridge and stopped for a momentssilence. We then continued on to have a service of remembrance, prayer and praise in the town centre.
