We wish you a happy 2024!

The star from the east

As 2023 draws towards a close I look back on a year filled with change and, for many, ongoing challenges. Wars and rumours of wars – earthquakes, drought and floods – viruses both physical and cyber and increasing anxiety, stress and tension for those overwhelmed by the loss of control in life.

More than ever people are searching for hope and encouragement.

More than ever I reflect on the absolute privilege of being involved in a work that seeks to provide support, hope and encouragement to people who have lost sight of their purpose, identity or value.

I am grateful to God that He provides all of those things and that it is not dependent upon my own wisdom or ability. Far from it!

He is the bringer of light, wisdom and direction in the midst of darkness.

As we await the dawning of a new year in 2024, I encourage you to consider why God came to live as a man, in the form of Jesus, 2000 years ago. Why He left heaven and came to earth to identify with us in our struggles. I believe it was, and is, to connect

with us, help us, save us. We are not alone!

There is much to still rejoice in.

2024 promises to be full of new endeavours and a few surprises – we will start the year filming, training new support group facilitators and workshop trainers. Alongside networking with more counsellors to expand our reach in Ireland.

Whilst 2023 brought new Trustees and a part time administrator, to guide us in our work and consolidate our policies and protocols. All of these are intended to strengthen the work we are undertaking and to ensure that we are more effective in our reach. I am grateful for such a dedicated team who largely go unnoticed but have really offered enormous encouragement and hope – thank you.

All the best in this coming season – we pray blessing over you and yours.
